H. L. Caris & Son is a family run clock repair and restoration business located in the rural town of Hexham, Northumberland. Dating back to 1820 it has been passed down from father to son and is currently run by the very practical husband and wife team of Alan and Jacqui. The name Caris is synonymous throughout the North East for affordable quality repairs to valuable clocks, watches and barometers, both antique and modern.
Alan attends to the mechanical side of things, taking care of the refurbishment and repairs to the clocks and watches. Jacqi repairs the clock cases, clock dials and barometers. All aspects of repairs are undertaken from antique to modern. No matter what your type of clock be it longcase, bracket, carriage, French, German, mantel or wall we offer decades of experience. We also repair and restore music boxes, barometers and watches. We offer free advice and give free estimates to all repairs. All our work is guaranteed and includes our free delivery and collection service. Accident and insurance work also a speciality.
